Couples Counselling & Coaching

Are you in need of some 1-1 counselling and coaching through the difficult areas of your marriage?

Marriage counselling isn’t easy, but it may be the best thing you’ll do for your relationship.

If you have tried to fix your problems without success, or you’ve been to marriage mediation or you’ve had family get involved  and it’s not worked it doesn’t mean your marriage is dead. It may mean various things, such as:

  • The chemistry has fizzled out and intimacy is no longer enjoyable for different reasons

  • You have a different understanding of religion

  • One or both of you are experiencing narcissism in your behaviour

  • One or both of you are fed up and frustrated with not having their needs met

  • Life after children has become hectic and romance/quality time isn’t prioritised anymore

  • You both have different understandings of gender roles and what marriage is

  • You don’t understand each other’s love languages

  • Only one person is making the efforts needed in the marriage

  • You’re dealing with an emotionally unavailable person

  • Your marriage has been affected by strong evil eye or magic

  • Your spouse is experiencing spiritual/jinn issues

  • One of you feels controlled, suffocated

  • One of you regularly feels unworthy, unappreciated, not good enough and disrespected

  • An affair has broken the trust

  • One of you feels you’ve lost your authentic self in the marriage to be someone else

  • Power struggles between you both

  • And more…!

How is my program different to other marital counselling programs?

First of all, and the most important reason why people come to me for marriage counselling, I have a deep understanding of relationship dynamics and various types of abuse, codependency, narcissism, cultural and spiritual issues. This is something many Imams, sheikhs and other practitioners lack, leaving people feeling frustrated and unable to resolve their issues in a sound Islamic manner.

My counselling and coaching for couples doesn’t deviate from Islamic boundaries, which makes this appealing for Muslim couples who need both a safe psychological and Islamic perspective on their case.

Clients have liked my approach, as it makes them feel comfortable that they are given a guide that is pleasing to God. The exercises and goals I set take the couple from where they are to where they want to be in easy steps that are clear and fun to follow.

The past only becomes important and is explored if it's clearly blocking your ability to create the outcome you want. The process will also be educational for you, because you will be unaware of the key factors that took you from love to destruction. Much of the problems couples face is due to the significant differences between men and women. When couples are taught these differences their expectation shifts as they both start to appreciate how different each others world really is.

Rebuilding the foundations is critical because it rebuilds trust and respect. Without trust and respect the relationship will die.

Once you re-establish love and respect, you’ll notice that you argue/fight less, fulfilling intimacy will increase and you’ll enjoy each other’s company more in a more romantic way. You’ll also learn how to recover more quickly after a conflict, so that the issue doesn’t escalate. This can be done by helping you to improve your communication, so you can understand each other and your needs better and live as authentic people.

Remember, breaking through the initial problem is half the battle. The other half is doing the work, so both people have to be completely on board with working on the marriage.

Here’s what 3 clients had to say:

“I loved this entire program from start to finish. Dr. Mona is fun, but professional and she really did a great job at diving deeply into our core issues and made it easy to understand. We enjoyed the exercises that were given to us and our marriage has significantly improved for the better. I'm so glad I came across your podcasts. Jzk!” Mariam, London

“After listening to your podcasts I reached out to you as a final resort to try and solve the issues I was having with my wife, who I believed then had narcissistic personality disorder. Alhamdulilah the sessions were very eye opening and it was only then did I learn that she had jinn possession that we worked on dealing with as a group with the help of your exercises. My wife is recovering and our marriage has done a 180 in terms of efforts made to get things back to how they used to be. This couldn’t have happened without the knowledge you have on spiritual problems that you were able to pick up on quickly and being able to disconnect it from a disorder. I also learnt a lot about myself and my narc traits. This was the best investment I have made and I recommend you to everyone”. Ahmed, USA

“This is the best investment I made to save my marriage. The knowledge you have is impressive and you made it an enjoyable experience for both of us with no judgments. We found it more effective than going for mediation in an imam’s office, due to your deep understanding of both Islam and psychology. We have recommended you to many people. Jazaki Allah chair, you’ve made a big difference in our life and the kids are happier too.” Khalid, Scotland

The investment needed:

10 session program for married couples who need mediation and help resolving their issues:

£1200 for 10 sessions

£1500 for 10 sessions plus prioritised email communication in between sessions.

The 2 first and last sessions will be held with both husband and wife. 3 sessions will be for the wife alone and 3 sessions will be for the husband alone in order to get each side of the problem in detail. Please note that payments for marital counselling and mediation need to be paid upfront in full or 50% upfront and the remainder before session 6.

If you feel that you need 2 weeks between sessions instead of 1 week to think, reflect and complete the exercises there’s no problem with that. It is recommended that you don’t book a session longer than 2 weeks after the previous one, but I am flexible with this.

I accept bank transfer, Paypal, Western Union and Moneygram payment methods. After your application has been accepted, I will send you the details for payment.

If this is an investment you cannot currently make, you have access to plenty of free information and counselling in my podcasts and you are welcome to join any scheduled group coaching sessions I do for help and advice. Please sign up to the mailing list on the website to get information about when they will take place. You can also find many support groups, organisations, national health services and charities that offer free counselling sessions, but there is usually a long waiting list for them. â€‹

Each day you postpone and delay your healing journey, the more your marital issues will become more difficult and complex to deal with.

So, for how much longer will you sacrifice your happiness, your desires and your needs in your marriage?

Time is precious, please don’t waste it when you could heal, learn to love yourself, move on with your life and do great things!
